The Road to Libertalia

THE SECRETS OF SAINTE-MARIE · BOOK ONE

The Book
Île Sainte-Marie, Madagascar. Early 18th century.

Andry's father kept the lighthouse at Cape North until the night he went into the harbour and never came out. A year later, Andry slips aboard La Buse's ship to steal back his father's journal.

What he finds in it leads past a French fort, a sunken Spanish wreck and the reef the sailors call the Shark's Teeth, toward a place nobody has ever found.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Morry Okko is the pen name of Marius Chiosea, a Romanian engineer who has spent nearly twenty-five years building pipelines and industrial plants,
first in oil and gas and later in mining.

Work took him to Madagascar in 2019. He meant to stay a while, and he stayed. He lives there with his wife and daughters.

The first time he went to Île Sainte-Marie, a local guide walked him through the pirate cemetery above the bay and told him who was buried there.
The Road to Libertalia started that afternoon.

It is his first novel.
